Online Irish Tunes Class: Lesson 1 – Paddy Fahey's Jig

The first lesson in my new online series of classes is now up! The tune is a jig composed by the great fiddler and composer of tunes Paddy Fahey, who was from Co. Galway.

UPDATE: Audio sync issue now fixed!

  1. Reblogged this on Bev Whelan's Irish Tunes Class and Slow Session and commented:

UPDATE! I am very pleased to say that I have fixed the audio sync problem on the first online lesson. The video now plays properly and it will be 100% easier to learn from. Please give it another go if that was putting you off!

THANK YOU also to those of you who have sent donations via PayPal. I am very grateful for your support, this is a very time-consuming project and I am paying for video hosting so anything you can spare will enable me to keep it going (and also to keep afloat as a self-employed musician during the current crisis). If you don’t have a PayPal account but would still like to contribute via bank transfer, please contact me privately at fluterbev@gmail.com.

I hope you enjoy the vastly improved video quality, and enjoy learning the tune! The next one will go up next TUESDAY EVENING – I have had to shift it from Monday due to various logistical issues. If anyone has any requests for tunes they would like to learn, feel free to let me know!

Meanwhile, I am still offering one-to-one tin whistle and flute lessons via Skype -details here: https://bevwhelanmusic.com/tuition/private-skype-tuition/. Iif you would like to book a lesson get in touch by email!
